While vacationing at his aunt Diane.s secluded country home, Jack soon finds out she has imprisoned her daughter Alice under suspicion of a dangerous mental illness. Jack elicits the help of two young women aiding in Diane.s bible-studies to uncover the truth about his cousin.s captivity, and is entangled in a struggle to preserve innocence that might only be skin deep; in this brooding psychological horror that culminates in a grim series of events.
