Cementography

Xi măng là một bộ phim tài liệu về một loại hình nghệ thuật mang bản sắc của người Síp. Từ ý tưởng phác thảo trên giấy, cho đến việc tạo khuôn, cho đến lễ kỷ niệm một tác phẩm hoàn chỉnh, bộ phim tài liệu này đã diễn ra trong hơn ba năm Costas economou thực hiện các tác phẩm mới nhất của mình bằng cách sử dụng xi măng. Cementography is a documentary about an art form that carries a Cypriot identity. From the sketched idea onto paper, to the making of the mold, to the celebration of a finished piece, this documentary follows for over three years Costas Economou.s making of his latest works using cementography. Introduced for the first time by the Cypriot artist Christoforos Savva in the 1960s and continued by Costas Economou, this technique transformed its decorative elements into an exciting form of art. Because of the way this technique was .born. in the recent years, it did not even have a name, giving the chance to Economou to introduce it to the world with the term that he created while filming this documentary: Cementography.
