Prison?

Vào tháng 10 năm 1993, Charlie Ryder đã tham gia vào một cuộc biểu tình bạo lực để đóng cửa trụ sở của Đức Quốc xã ở Welling, Đông Nam London. Charles hiện đã phát triển câu chuyện của mình thành một bộ phim bằng con rối, mặt nạ, nghệ thuật thị giác, thơ ca và nhảy múa để chiếu ánh sáng vào thời gian bên trong và thách thức nhận thức về nhà tù và tù nhân.

In October 1993 Charlie Ryder took part in a violent protest to shut down the Nazi headquarters in Welling, South East London. Two months later he was featured on Crime Monthly a program which appealed for some of Britain.s most wanted criminals. Arrested the next morning he waited nearly 2 years before he was sent to prison for 16 months. While in prison he received a letter of support from a British Holocaust survivor Leon Greenman. Charlie kept this letter in a scrapbook with poetry and artwork to record his time inside.Charlie has now developed his story into a film using puppets, masks, visual art, poetry and dance to shine a light on his time inside and to challenge perceptions of prison and prisoners.
