Daniel wanders the haunted spaces of LA, where he gradually traces bits and pieces of his grandfather.s forgotten film, before reconnecting them in his shabby motel room. He is slowly swallowed by his grandfather.s story and loses his own way. The Birdman is a Hybrid film, constantly shifting between documentary and fiction, depicting both Israel and California as two .promise lands. which fail to deliver the dream of fulfillment. The Birdman is about what remains of ideologies and desires after crashing into the concrete reality.
