In the wilderness of remote burnt areas in Canada, every Summer thousands of people gather in search of adventure and quick money: pickers and buyers work side by side searching, picking, carrying and selling morels, the mushrooms that grow one year after a forest fire. Morels are the black gold of the bush, they are extremely expensive on international markets, being not possible to grow them artificially. Along the edges of huge forest fires, hundreds of kilometers far away from any village, gas station and telephone poll, the temporary community of buyers and pickers obeys the same basic laws of society: there.s competition but also solidarity, there.s mutual help but also business. They depend on one another, you can.t think of surviving alone or without someone.s collaboration: this is the rule that creates a model of perfect society, where everybody is aware of freedom and respect.
