Feeling .strange. about reaching the age of 50, and badgered by his producer to finish an important screenplay he is writing, Anis begins to reflect upon his past. He finds himself drawn to the moments of his childhood when he first formed his love of books, and above all recalls the complex situation in which his first love blossomed. As the memory of his childhood sweet-heart, Fanous, echoes in his present, can Anis find new meaning for his life through the tender-hearted desires of his young self?
