Life long surfer, John Beattie suffered a stroke in 2007 which left him unable to surf anymore. So once he recovered enough to drive again he set out to re-discover many of the places he surfed on Long Island during his life, starting in Long Beach and following the coast to the east and finishing in Montauk.
