Bộ phim cho thấy cách sống và quan điểm về thế giới của Bashkirs cổ đại thông qua các bài hát dân gian. Người khổng lồ, thần tượng, phân chia thế giới thành 3 cấp độ: thế giới của thiên thần, thế giới sống và thế giới của người chết. Chết trong một trận chiến không cân sức, các cô gái đến thế giới bên trên và biến thành những ngôi sao của Bắc Đẩu, mà Bashkirs đặt tên là Etegan.

The plot of the music film .Etegan: Bashkir Legends In Songs. is based on the Bashkir legend about seven girls who gave their lives defending homeland from the enemy. The film shows ancient Bashkirs. way of life and view of the world through folk songs. Giants, idols, division of the world into 3 levels: the world of angels, the world of living and the world of the dead. Dying in an unequal battle, the girls get to the upper world and turn into stars of the Big Dipper, which Bashkirs name Etegan.
